Who are we?
The Silver Keys is a dynamic multi-cultural clarinet quartet based in Scotland. The four original members met in 2018 when they were all students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of John Cushing. Building on the variety of their individual backgrounds (Scottish-American, English, Lithuanian, and Polish), the Silver Keys are passionate about exploring the rich traditions of music from all over the world and sharing its transformative power with all kinds of audiences in all kinds of settings. They were a recipient of the Scotland on Tour 2022-2023 Fund in which they got to perform in further afield places such as Skye and Portmahomack. The Silver Keys is represented by Classical Musicians Scotland.
What do we
perform?
The Silver Keys is unbound by genre and enjoy performing new works for clarinet quartet as well as arrangements of well-known pieces as they highlight the clarinet’s wide-ranging ability to perform all styles of music.
